They taste great and are easy to use, filled with so much of the good stuff that you really need. These drinks are easy to use in a bottle and ready to serve form. They taste like a real milkshake so you feel like you are rewarding yourself rather than drinking something that is good for you. The drinks taste great and they are not chalky. But the Dutch Chocolate is also very tasty. ![]() Most of the time I choose the vanilla, and it is my favorite. I love the numerous flavor selections that are available. For those that have issues that pervent them from gaining weight, the drinks work wonderfully. Although pricey, the Boost drinks really provide an abundance of vitamins and minerals and make gaining weight more feasible. I have found other nutritional supplements that give me more fiber and contain less sugar.īoost nutritional drinks are used in my family to sustain for a diet that isn't always the healthiest. So even though I like the taste, I no longer use Boost. That is a lot more sugar than most of the other nutritional supplements that I have tried. The other thing I noticed is that each of these 8 oz bottles contain 23 grams of sugar. I believe the lack of fiber is why these drinks were leaving me feeling very hungry. I read the nutritional label on the back of the container and realized that while these drinks contain a decent amount of protein- 14 grams, they contain only 1 gram of fiber. I didn't think too much about it at first, but since it kept happening I started to wonder about it. The only problem is that I noticed I was always very hungry after drinking a bottle of Boost. It is a little pricey, but actually is a little cheaper then some supplements. I thought it would be a great nutritional supplement as it is hard to always eat right. Three things I was concerned about getting enough of in my diet. It contains 21 Vitamins and minerals, including high amounts of vitamin C, calcium and protein. True Tastes Great, but too much sugar and no fiber However, if you are one of those blessed people who has a high metabolism, and no diabetic fears, then Boost may be just what you are looking for. In other words, if you want to lose weight, or you are worried about possible weight gain, Boost may not be the best meal replacement option for you, nor is it the ideal snack to reach for. ![]() This is not good for a lot of reasons, one being that the boost it gives you is temporary, with an inevitable crash.Īnother reason the high sugar content is counterproductive is that it takes away from any weight loss, or weight maintenance efforts you might have. ![]() The only thing about Boost that I really take issue with, is that it simply has too much sugar in it. It has a lot of good nutritious ingredients that can come in handy when you don't have time to sit down and eat, or when you need a little extra something to rejuvenate you, between meals. Boost High Protein Nutritional Energy Drink is a well named product, mainly because it does give you a boost of energy.
